Content Rich Increases Your Ranking

We register your domain name (web address) eg yourbusiness.com.au - whatever name you choose - so you have secured it against someone else registering it.

And a domain name can be registered by someone else even if it is your business name!

We can have a meeting or discuss your requirements by phone or email. We have a look at your business card or any other branding, ask you a few questions then come up with a basic design for discussion. You tell us what changes you want and we come up with a design which suits you.

At this stage we may also look at what content you have. Or you may be preparing the content whilst we work on the initial design. It helps if we can get an idea of the navigation here. You're not on your own here - we can discuss your requirments and suggest an intuitive navigation.

We make a top line graphic for the top of each page including your business name and optionally any logo you may have. We can also incorporate a photograph, perhaps of your premises or some other relevant image.

We design a menu echoing the colours in the design. This can be horizontal under the title bar or vertical down the side. We also incorporate text links at the bottom of each page for ease of navigation and to make it easier for the search engines to index the site properly.

Once the design's agreed we move onto content. If you wish give us the content in point format and we'll paraphrase. It's nice to incorporate a couple of images in each page for visual interest. We'll build the site based on your content, you check it and we make any required changes.

Our home page should still tell the visitor why they should do business with you. Then the middle pages can include more detail about your variety of products and/or services. And a contact page including optionally a map to your premises, or a map of your serviced areas and an email link.

Who Should Use It?

If you have been in business a long time or have a very varied product or services range you may have sufficient copy to populate these extra pages.

Multiple content rich pages have a double advantage in that they

• get more attention from the search engines
• tell your visitors all they need to know about your business (but don't forget to spice it up with pictures)

Only go this way if you're sure you have content. We can help you write the copy but the content has to come from you. A three page site we can almost do from a business card and half an hour's talk, but fifteen pages is a serious website so we do need a lot of input.

It's better to start off small and start off now than try to wait until you have sufficient content to fill such a big site. It can take the search engines quite some time to index your website, so it's better to get a small site up there now and add to it than to wait. While your website keeps changing the search engines will keep coming back.
